Behind the Seams

Hi, my name is Abby and I started The Stitch Society to blend my passion for textiles, and connection – for me,  inspiration and creativity are better when shared with and supported by others.

I've always enjoyed creating, writing and learning new things. But my love for crafting stitches and loops started when I was recovering from a small surgery that kept me off my feet. Those hooks, needles and yarn not only kept me sane during that time but sparked a whole new journey for me.

I've been teaching creative textile workshops for a few years and cannot express the joy it gives me to share my passion and skills with others to begin their own textiles journey – and to give them the opportunity to indulge in a creative outlet to unwind and enjoy, It warms my heart to watch the connections one makes with the craft and others in the workshops!
